BTS Jeon Jung Kook has broken various worldwide, streaming records over the past week with his solo debut, single Seven.
The youngest member of the global phenomenon K-pop group BTS, is branching out on his own for now during the groups hiatus. BTS announced last year they wold be taking a break in between their mandatory military commitments until 2025 – when they hope to return again together.
Jung Kook is well on the way to becoming a household name globally. He even holds the title for ‘most viewed individual hashtag’ on Tiktok, reaching a whopping 162 BILLION views.

BTS Jung Kook smashes records with 'Seven'
Seven, was Jung Kook’s first official release as a solo artist. There was major hype and excitement about this single as fans prepared for upcoming activities from the artist.
“Seven (feat. Latto) is a fun summer song and a serenade with an addictive melody” – BigHit Music.
The global number one single was released on July 14 (2023), and is still topping the charts!
This song has broken numerous worldwide records, including; reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the fastest song to reach a milestone of 30 million streams in just 2 days on Spotify, number one on the Melon music charts in South Korea, and the list goes on.
The numbers speak for themselves and, mainly thanks to ARMY (name for BTS fans). The mega fanbase has proved that the are truly inevitable when it comes to ensuring the success of their idols.

Jung Kook 'Seven' promotion response
It seems like whatever JK does, it is an event. This includes flying overseas for project work. Crowds of fans and media gathered at airports and outside radio stations to catch a glimpse of the pop star on his solo ventures.
On the day of its release, Jung Kook performed Seven alongside a couple of BTS songs in an exclusive set for Good Morning America. Unfortunately the soundcheck version was the only part that was aired live due to horrendous weather conditions in New York, but the internet blew up this performance regardless, followed by a special televised live interview. Alongside various radio station interviews, he was invited to the prestigious BBC Radio One Live Lounge in London and also performed in front of a handful of lucky British fans for BBC’s The One Show.
The overall response to Seven has been positive and ARMY are continuing to support JK by streaming the single like crazy, keeping him at the top of the charts and in the musical spotlight as a solo artist for as long as possible. ARMY’s devotion to Jung Kook and BTS in unmatched by any other in the world.

Jung Kook crowned the 'Sell-Out King'
He has been continuing his promotions and keeping in touch with AMRY often on Weverse. The social platform has been imperative for connecting idols to their fan base across the world. Jung Kook was big on using Weverse (exclusively) to talk to ARMY up until a couple of weeks ago.
As he deleted all of his other official social media accounts, Weverse was his main source of communication with the world. However, this all changed recently when he “accidentally” shared a TikTok video which in turn, “leaked” his TikTok username. Fans quickly caught onto this and JK was found out! He has now made it official that he is an avid TikTok user, and needless to say, fans (and brands) are delighted.
Every item Jung Kook uses, owns or mentions in his live videos usually sells out within minutes of people learning he possesses it.
Here are a few examples from Twitter:

Jung Kook has become the epitome of what a global superstar should be. Fans cannot get enough of his underlying charm and influence – which is evident.
Jung Kook Calvin Klein Ambassador
Calvin Klein was quick to snap up JK as their new global ambassador for their 2023 CK Jeans and Underwear lines. This is not his first gig as playing model though, the BTS member has been well prepped for this very role throughout his ten years in the music industry.
The internet went absolutely bonkers for the idol in Calvin Klein a couple of months back when the first images appeared online. Now, we have a fall campaign with even more edge and sass. You only have to look at the numbers on social media and the global markets to realise the effect Jung Kook has on the world – and Calvin Klein know it.

Reports of Calvin Klein’s stock value apparently skyrocketed after a period of slight stagnation after Jung Kook signed on. Klein’s parent company PVH Corp stock price coincidently went up by 20% after the announcement.
It’s important to recognise ARMY in this instance as well. Yes, JK is a global icon and one hundred percent deserves his place among the stars, however, no star shines bright without their fans. Jung Kook has been incredibly gracious throughout this entire journey , especially when it comes to his followers.
We can’t wait to see what he has in store next. There has been speculation is regarding a solo album however, nothing official has been announced as yet. We are hopeful this will come before the end of 2023.
